The Uber Lame story:

Due to all the mindless fighting in the MUGEN universe, the inhabitants have forgot to keep their environmental cleanliness in check. As a result, female mosquitoes have begun to breed rapidly in stagnent pools of water, and they have an insatiable hunger for blood!

These mosquitoes have acquired a taste for the blood of strong fighters, and hence start to attack MUGEN characters mercilessly. Worse still, these mosquitoes carry terrible diseases that cause a painful death to their victims. Many MUGEN characters have died so far due to these diseases, and the mosquitoes have become the number 1 killer in the world.

An alliance has been forged by the MUGEN leaders in order to stop this pest invasion. Of course, the mosquitoes plan on destroying this organization as it would threaten their livelihood. Will they be able to succeed? Or will they get squashed like... mosquitoes?

Overview:
Mosquito by itself is a very weak character, with only 1 hp (same as magikarp).
However, this is a swarm of 50 mosquitoes, so to defeat them you have to kill 50 of them.

At any moment, a maximum of 10 mosquitoes can be out on the screen. If one is killed, it will be replaced by another mosquito, unless all the remaining mosquitoes have been killed.

Mosquitoes has 60 power bars (1 for each mozzie on screen, if there are 10). These fill up fairly quickly when mosquito initiates an attack or successfully hits with a physical attack. However, if a mosquito is killed, 1 power bar will be lost, so be careful!!!

;IMPORTANT TIPS ON CUSTOMIZING
;~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
;/////////////////////////////

You CAN change the number of mosquitoes to be on the screen, as well as the hp of each mosquito.

Open the negatives.txt file where the other files including this readme are.
You should see something like this:

;-----------------------------------------------------------------------
;DO NOT CHANGE ANYTHING ABOVE THIS LINE!!!
;-----------------------------------------------------------------------

[State -2, HP of each Mosquito]
type = VarSet
trigger1 = 1 ;DO NOT CHANGE
;total hp is 1000 hp
;when a mozzie is killed this goes down by the number below
;-----------------------------------------------------------------------
var(13) = 20 ;<-set this for hp of each mozzie. DO NOT SET TO 0 OR LESS!
;-----------------------------------------------------------------------
;if the number above is 20 means 1000/20 = 50 mozzies total

[State -2, N.o. of Mosquitoes to be on screen]
type = VarSet
trigger1 = 1 ;DO NOT CHANGE
;the number below determines the amount of mozzies that can be on
;the screen at one time.
;-----------------------------------------------------------------------
var(14) = 10 ;<-set this for number of mozzies. DO NOT SET TO 0 OR LESS!
             ;DO NOT SET TO OVER 10!!!
;-----------------------------------------------------------------------

[State -2, VarSet]
type = VarSet
;--------------------------------------------------------
triggerall = 1 ;Change this to 0 to enable cheap detector
;--------------------------------------------------------
trigger1 = var(3)>0
var(3) = 0

;-----------------------------------------------------------------------
;DO NOT CHANGE ANYTHING BELOW THIS LINE!!!
;-----------------------------------------------------------------------

From here, you can change the number of mosquitoes on screen and the amount of hp to deduct (from 1000) if a mozzie is killed.

Defaults:
Hp of each mozzie: 20 (need to kill 50 mozzies)
Number of mozzies on screen: 10

Abilities:

Fly: Directional Keys
Yeah, they don't just walk...

Blood drain:
Certain attacks will drain the enemy's energy and add it to the mosquito's energy bar. Really nasty for the opponent especially when he/she finds out that they don't have enough power to use hyper attacks...

Disease Spread:
As we all know, mosquitoes are hated all over the world for their disease spreading capabilities... well these mosquitoes have diseases as well, such as malaria and dengue fever. More of this will be covered in the Hyper attacks section.

Movelist:

X: Needle shot aka Pin Missile (2 damage each, 0 damage if blocked.)
Info:
you know that needle thing that mozzies use to suck you blood? they shoot it at you. Although this hurts less than an injection, it becomes serious when you see 10 of em coming at you...
Description:
Each mosquito shoots a small needle that moves forward.

Y: Homing Attack (5 damage each, 1/10 of a powerbar drained from opponent per hit, 2/10 of a powerbar added to mosquitoes per hit. No damage/effect if blocked)
Info:
The mosquitoes seek out carbon dioxide emitted from the nearest character and rush to bite him/her. Unfortunately for you, they are invulnerable when charging, and will also drain your energy if they hit.
Description:
All the mosquitoes home in on the nearest opponent, then charge back to the point where they started from (you can move this though). The mosquitoes are invincible when flying towards your character, but can be damaged while flying back. This attack will knock down the enemy.

Z: Mosquito Charge (5 hits each, 4 damage per hit, 1/25 of a powerbar drained per hit, 3/20 of a powerbar gained per hit. 5 damage if blocked)
Info:
The mosquitoes reverse, then charge at the nearest opponent at super fast speeds. If they connect, they proceed to drain the blood out of the enemy and leave them itching all over.
Description:
The mosquitoes pull back and fly up/down to the nearest enemy's level, then charge at him/her. If any mosquito successfully connects, it attaches onto the enemy and attacks 5 times for 4 damage each. This attack will knock down the enemy (after a sequence of "itching" for some characters). If the attack is blocked, the mosquitoes fly back, but the impact causes some damage to the enemy in the process.

Down, Forward, X: Large needle (2 damage each, 0 damage if blocked, hits 5 times)
Info:
The mosquitoes shoot LARGE needles. They sure hurt a lot more than the small needles, and they can suck the energy out of you! (hitstuns opponent well)
Description:
Each mosquito shoots a large needle that can hit up to 5 times and drain power as well.

Down, Forward, Y: Mega Lance (Damage varies depending on duration of contact, block damage is about 1/3 normal damage)
Info:
The mosquitoes pull back, form into a giant needle, then fly at you, impaling you for MEGA damage (around 1/4 of max hp for some characters, varies).
Description:
Mosquitoes fly offscreen, and a large needle flies in from offscreen at the same height level as the nearest enemy. The needle will pierce the enemy on contact, slowly doing damage. The mosquitoes fly back onscreen as soon as the needle moves offscreen. The needle can be attacked, and will be destroyed if attacked more than 10 times or if hit by a strong attack, and this will make the mosquitoes lose hp.
Notes: The mosquitoes are invulnerable when flying offscreen, but can be hurt when flying back onscreen.

______________
Hyper Attacks:

Up, Up, X: West Nile Virus: (Each dead bird does damage)
Cost: 2 power bars per mosquito
Info:
The mosquitoes fly high to infect birds with the deadly West Nile Virus, causing them to die and drop on the opponent.
Description:
Mosquitoes fly up offscreen, then a shower of dead birds land on your character(s)
Notes: The mosquitoes are invulnerable when flying offscreen, but can be hurt when flying back onscreen.

Down, Forward, Down, Back, Y: Japanese Encephalitis: (Dead cow/horse does damage)
Cost: 3 power bars per mosquito
Info:
The mosquitoes infect, kill, and drop a dead cow or horse on the enemy, doing large damage.
Description:
Mosquitoes fly up offscreen, then a dead cow/horse lands on your character. The move is unblockable, but dodgable.
Notes: The mosquitoes are invulnerable when flying offscreen, but can be hurt when flying back onscreen.

(X, X, Forward, Y, Z) or (X, X, Forward, A, Z): Blood Slaughter (instant death, unblockable)
Cost: 4 powerbars per mosquito
Info:
Not much to say here... what do you think would happen if a swarm of mozzies were so hungry until they sucked up ALL your blood?
Description:
Basically, a Shun Goku Satsu. The mosquitoes move forward, and then initiate an instakill if one of them "grabs" their opponent. Lots of blood from this attack too... Although the enemy can easily swat them to death when they charge, there's 10 of em!
